Captain Marvel

What a absolute pleasure it was to design Captain Marvel for the upcoming film. My job is to take the look from the comic books (shout to Jamie McKelvie) and to bring a reality specifically to the character and story that we are telling in the film. So I definitely wanted to maintain the staples of her original look while bringing specific details in the materials, construction, and function that is specific to why she is wearing that particular outfit. It's always a challenge to try to create something iconic while also realizing that you are creating something that a real actor will be wearing. So many considerations have to be made while designing. In a couple months her film will be revealed to the world and then I can talk about the specifics more then. In any case, I love designing this hero for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I hope you enjoy the film!
